Timeless Truth Luxury Face Masks | Review

Good morning!!!!

Sorry I have not been as active on my blog lately, I finally found myself a new job after being very depressed at my old work place from being treated like muck, so I have been focusing on that for a week or so, but now I have three days off and at last I can sit down with a brew and share with you my latest review..

The brand I am reviewing today is a skin care brand called 'Timeless Truth'.
Timeless Truth create a wide range of face masks which have different purposes and help to improve different types of skin problems, and this is the mask I went for..

It was really hard to get a clear picture of the packaging, however I chose the Charcoal Detox Brightening Mask. The name of this mask caught my attention straight away as I have very fair skin which can sometimes make my skin look lifeless and dull so this sounded like the perfect match for me!

About the Charcoal Detox Brightening Mask:
The bamboo charcoal extract in this mask is highly absorbent and has a deep cleansing effect. This mask helps to brighten, smoothe and hydrate the skin, it is also good for congested skin.

Congested skin - 'Skin with large pores and blackheads'.

This mask retails for £4.90 which is a bargain!

Please excuse my poor attempt of applying this mask!

This is what the masks looks like once applied to the face, this mask smelt soooooo good!
I was really impressed with the amount of serum that was in the packet, this is always good in case you want to add extra serum onto the face before applying the mask, obviously that meant that the mask also had a lot of serum soaked into it but not to the extent where it made my skin feel sticky.
This mask felt great on my skin, some cloth masks I've tried have felt awful on the skin but this cloth was so thin it didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The mask was easy to apply and stayed on my face instead of peeling off which I thought may of happened but I was proven wrong, I could tell this was a good quality mask as soon as I applied it.

I left the mask on for about 15 minutes whilst I had a soak in the bath, the whole time I wore the mask my skin felt so refreshing.
The serum washed off really easy once I removed the cloth mask, my skin felt so hydrated once I had washed off any excess product.
Now I know your not going to see improvement by using these masks only once but I must say my skin looked glowing once dry, I normally have a bit of dry skin on areas of my face but this took all that away!

I would honestly use these masks once a week and I guarantee my skin would improve in no time!

If you would like to get your hands on one of these masks you can check out the Timeless Truth website by clicking HERE

Thank you so much for reading my post.
I hope you all have a fab week!

Ginger & Co | Review

Hey everyone!
I have a review today from a company called Ginger & Co, which I discovered on Twitter. I have seen a lot of people raving about this company so I thought I would contact them, the person I spoke to via E-Mail was lovely & actually gave me a few blogging tips to do with social media which were very handy. They were kind enough to send me a few samples to try out and I was so impressed with the next day delivery, considering I emailed them in the afternoon.
When they said samples, I was expecting sachets of product, which I am always thankful for, however, they sent me actual tubes of there products, which I'm not sure if they were full size or not but there was a lot of product in them.
I got three products and a nail file with what looks like a vintage pin up lady on, super cute!

I absolutely love these products, my favourite is the shower gel, it smells divine and lathers up really well, a little bit goes a long way, and the fact it has moisturiser within it, is also a huge bonus as it leaves your skin smooth and feeling even more fresh!

I am not normally a fan of body lotion, but this one smells so good that I had to give it a go, I put it on after a shower or bath and it just leaves a beautiful scent on my skin whilst improving the look of my skin, adding smoothness to my dry areas, such as my kneecaps and elbows.

I really am obsessed with this hand cream, I use it quite a lot. The smell is yet again amazing and the product isn't sticky or to thick, which I cannot stand when it comes to hand creams, therefore it ticks all the boxes for me.

I couldn't do this review without mentioning the colourful and very attractive packaging, the tubes are a nice size, there not to big, and don't take up a great deal of space around my bath. I love how each product has a different pattern and colour going on in the background. The packing is literally full of all sorts of information, pictures, designs, patterns and fonts. I admire the vintage theme they are going for as they remind me of soap and glory products but actually, even cuter (no offence S&G) Ooops!

Ginger & Co tick all the boxes for me, and I will for sure be trying out more of there products in the future, I think there products would make fab presents to!

If you would like to check out this awesome brand for yourself then please feel free to check out there Twitter, as there website is not up and running yet.

Crabtree & Evelyn | Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy | Review

Good afternoon everyone..

I hope your all having a well earned lazy Sunday, just like me.

Today I have a review on a product which is I-n-c-r-e-d-I-b-l-e..

I will be talking about the Verbena & Lavender Hand Therapy cream from one of my mothers all time favourite brands.. Crabtree & Evelyn.
Before trying this product I was not a hand cream sort of girl, I hate the greasy feel you get after applying it, or in some cases, the sticky feel. I just hated hand creams altogether and avoided them, even when my hands were in desperate need of some TLC.
However, trying this product out has changed my opinions on hand creams.
I have been using this hand cream everyday and cannot get enough of it, which is very strange as I am not a fan of Lavender scents, except with this scent, its not to powerful, making me fall in love with Lavender for the first time in a while..

As you can see from the above picture, this is what the packaging looks like, very pretty, yet, simple.
The packaging reminds me of something my great grandmother would have sitting on her dressing table. My great grandmother was always a fab woman, who made great effort to look and smell as fab as she was. I feel that the elegant lavender sketch on the front of the packaging gives off a classic look, but with a modern twist when you look at the design of the tube of which the hand cream comes in..

This is the hand cream tube, the background colour is utterly stunning, the sort of colour that would catch my attention. Crabtree & Evelyn always use such simple designs for there products, but always manage to make each design eye catching in such an effortless way. The purple writing against the green is something I wouldn't have thought would ever go well together, but I will make an exception with this product.

Onto the actual hand cream, I love the scent of this product, reason being that it isn't to strong, which is something I really am against. I suffer from terrible headaches whenever I smell something to strong, so I have to keep away from powerful scents as much as I can, this is why I am so impressed with this product, I could apply the whole bottle to my hands & I still wouldn't get headache.

You only need to apply a tiny amount in my opinion, something like a pea size amount, a little goes a long way. This hand cream leaves my hands feeling smooth and looking fresh. The Verbena & Lavender hand cream does NOT leave your hands sticky, greasy or wet, but leaves a silk feel to your skin. I genuinely feel so much cleaner and fresh when I have this hand cream on my skin.

I would 100% recommend this hand cream to anyone, any age, as the scent is something which suits any pair of hands, whether they need some TLC or not. You must give this product a try.

The Verbena & Lavender hand cream costs £15 from the Crabtree & Evelyn website, which is worth every penny. You get a 3.5 OZ tube which for me, will last probably the whole year.
If you would like to take a look at this luxurious hand cream please click HERE and if this scent isn't for you, they have other scents available to view on there website.

Thank you for reading.
Have a lovely Sunday.

Dream Dots | Review

Good afternoon, today I will be reviewing a product I was sent to review from a company called Dream Dots. This company created a product which will rid you of blemishes and spots, leaving you with fresh looking, flawless skin! First of I will tell you the basics of the product Dream Dots and then get into my personal opinion, enjoy.

Dream Dots are an overnight treatment to help calm, clear and heal breakouts.
Dream Dots are flexible and invisible spot treatment patches which help:
1. Clear breakouts
2. Calm
3. Purify
4. Heal
5. Project
6. Fast recovery

Apply Dream Dots before you sleep, leave overnight and in the morning the Dream Dots will have turned white in colour.
Remove the patch and cleanse your skin, repeat until you are satisfied that the pore has healed.

Personally I love this product, it's a fun way of getting rid of spots, instead of using a boring cream which to me, leaves me with dry skin afterwards. These Dream Dots are great to use for an overnight treatment, meaning you can pamper yourself at night, and wake up in the morning feeling refreshed. I am not saying these dots work overnight as they don't, in the instructions it explains that you should use these dots until you are satisfied that they have worked enough and done the job.
They slowly but surely work for me, I have not seen a huge difference but they sure do calm my spots down, and get rid of the redness in them. These Dream Dots are very comfy to wear as you can hardly feel them on your skin and they are invisible.

When I opened the box, I must say that I didn't think you got many Dream Dots in one package (24 dots) but as I got to use them I realised they have lasted me a few weeks. The packaging is very cute and modern, I would recommend these to anyone struggling with finding a product to help clear your skin or spots. You can find these Dream Dots online, here are the links to social media sites which you can go to, to find more information and even purchase some yourself:

Thank you for reading and I hope you try this product out for yourself to see what all the hype is about.
Have a good day,

Pond's Institute | Review

Good Morning, Its been such a busy blogging week (review-wise) for me, I'm trying to keep up with everything, therefore this post is a little overdue, I do apologise for that. However I am very excited to talk about this brand which I recently discovered. I came across the brand 'Pond's Institute' when I was emailed by a lovely lady called Steph, who asked me whether I would be interested in testing out two recommended Pond products, and of course I couldn't say no!

One really interesting fact about this brand is that they have been around since 1907, which is crazy to think that these products go back so many years, and are basically a part of history! This made me even more eager to check out this brand.
I did a bit of research on other blogs whilst I waited for my products to arrive, and so many people had been buzzing about these products, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on them myself.

The two products I were sent was the Eye Contour Cream and the Cold Cream which is for the face, want to know what I thought of these products, then keep reading..

The packaging is very pretty, but quite simple at the same time. I find packaging important as it makes a product look more appealing, and in this case that's exactly what it did. The very pale pink shades on the packaging shows femininity, and you could agree that it advertises this brand as a brand for women.

 Eye Contouring Cream
I really enjoyed trying this product out for multiple reasons, one being that my eyes always look very puffy in a morning and I have been looking for a product for a long time which just focuses around the eyes, are surely enough I found one. Secondly I have tried so many face products out before and it was nice to be able to do something a little different that doesn't focus on the whole face, but just a section.
I found this cream very refreshing once applied around my eyes, you leave this cream on and apply it in the morning and night, I would have thought with having to leave the product on all day that it would feel heavy on my skin, but it did the complete opposite, I couldn't feel the product at all. I have been using this product since I got it about 3 weeks ago, but on and off, I need to start using it everyday in order to see results. The cream comes in quite a large tube and for me I only needed less than a pea sized amount for each eye, therefore this product will defiantly last long and you will get your moneys worth! It is also suitable for all skin types which is a bonus!
I would give this product a 7/10 as I haven't tried it long enough to see results but I really like it as a way of making my eyes feel refreshed and awake!

Cold Cream
This cream is okay, I'm not really digging the smell of it if I'm honest, I will know straight away if I like a scent or not, and unfortunately this was a no no for me! I cant describe the smell. Its not the worst scent I've smelt but if I smell something and I don't like it, I tend to get either a headache or the smell stays with me all day and it irritates me. This is nothing against the brand or the product, I am very very fussy with scents, so much that once, I went out for the day with my family and I bought a bottle of water from a cheese/meat shop and when I got to drink it, I could smell this horrible scent on it, and had to chuck it away! The product itself is brilliant, you apply the cream and then wash it off after, leaving your face feeling clean and refreshed. The texture of the cream is thick but once on your face it feels fine, and you wash it off after so it shouldn't matter anyway. Although I am not a big fan of this product, my mum has claimed it off me and wants to try it out for herself, so I will keep you updated if she has anything to say.
I will give this product a 4/10, if the scent was fruity I think I would give it more of a chance but for now I will be sticking to the Eye Contouring Cream and handing this Cold Cream over to my mum!

Thank you for reading and don't forget to check out the Pond's Institute website where you can find the products I spoke about today: http://global.ponds.com/

 Have a great week!
O.

Nourish Starter Kit | Combination

Hi there, today I have a review for you all on a brand which I am pretty new to called Nourish, they are a skincare brand which specialise in products dedicated to a variety of skin types which you can choose from, I went for combination skin as I have oily skin at times but in cold weather it can be dry on areas such as my cheeks, nose and forehead. One thing that stood out to me with this brand is that they are a vegan brand, I am a vegetarian and love to support cruelty free/ vegan brands.
As I got the combination skin type kit the fragrance for this was apple, I was so happy to discover this due to me being such a big fan of fruity scents, after trying this out for the first time the fragrance was almost good enough to want to eat, although I wouldn't recommend it!

Here is some of information about the combination skin kit I have been trying out:
  • The organic apple extract, vitamins and minerals in the balance range help regulate the production of sebum which is an oily substance secreted by the sebaceous glands in mammalian skin.
  • The balance nutritious peptide serum has been clinically shown to give an 80% increase in skin hydration instantly! WOW.
Onto the individual products, here are my thoughts:

Detoxifying Cleanser

This is the first product you use as you are suppose to use them in order as instructed on the label of each bottle. This cleanser is splendid, you apply it with a cotton wool pad by gently sweeping the  pad over your face and then washing off after with cool water. One thing I must point out is that the pump on this bottle is very stiff, the pump goes down very quickly and its been a few times that the product has flown across the room instead of onto the pad so you need to hold the pump close to the cotton wool pad, its nothing to big of a deal and I don't know if it was just the bottle I had but I do expect the pump to work well as all the others did. As for the actual cleanser itself the fragrance is insane, I love the smell of it when on my face and it leaves a smooth finish. I would give this product a rating of 6/10.
97% Organic

Refining Toning Mist

Out of all the products this would be the product I would mostly recommend. I use this on a daily basis as a way of refreshing my face in a morning. This toning mist is said to 'leave skin refreshed' and it does just that! You apply the toning mist twice a day and then apply one of the two products below to moisturise the skin, however I feel that you could use this product on its own for example on a hot day if the weather is making your skin feel oily, this would refresh your skin for the day! I don't have a bad thing to say about this product.
97% Organic

Essential Moisturiser

I am really fond of this product due to its lightness when applied to my face, previous moisturisers I've tested out have been to thick or sticky, making my skin feel disgusting! This moisturiser however is a completely different story, feeling light on my skin and giving a refreshed finish. You only need 1-2 pea sized amounts to cover the whole face, a little goes a long way! I only have a mini travel sized pot of this moisturiser but I know it will last me a long time as I only need a small amount per day. I would defiantly recommend this moisturiser to anyone with dry skin like me as it has done my skin wonders and I've only been testing it out for two weeks so I will keep using it until its all gone and hopefully it will do some good for my skin!
89% Organic

Nutritious Peptide Serum

Last but defiantly not least is the Nutritious Peptide Serum, as this is a serum the texture is different to the moisturiser and although I am impressed with the moisturiser, I prefer the way the serum feels on my face plus it is easier to blend in. Very impressive product and you will get a lot of use out of this mini serum.
80% Organic

I was very impressed with this mini skin kit and would recommend it to anyone! If you have 'combination skin' (which to me is oily skin in summer and dry skin in winter) then give this kit a go! Or you could try the full sized products which I am sure to do when I have used up my Mini's!

I hope you enjoyed this post.
Thank you for reading :-)

Cutagen Samples | Review

A lovely lady sent me some samples not to long ago from a brand called Cutagen, and I am always so excited to try out new products so I was mega excited when all these samples came in the post!
I had chance to try out these samples and also my sister tried them out to and she was very impressed with the results.
Here are some of my sisters opinions:
'I really liked these samples from Cutagen, I had chance to try out the gentlecare refreshing wash gel which I loved as the results showed my skin to be very smooth and feeling refreshed as it says in the name of this product. The day after I tried the gentlecare 24 hour hydrating hand & body moisutriser and again it left a smooth finish on my skin and unlike some moisturisers I have tried this one isn't very thick meaning my skin doesn't feel suffocated, 10/10 for these samples'.

I tried the gentlecare refreshing hand wash gel and I absolutely loved it, I liked the texture of the gel as it didn't make my hands sticky and was very light to hold which I didn't expect as gel is normally quite thick. The smell was nice as it left off a light citrus smell which is the sort of scent I would go for, I don't like it when a scent is to strong so this hand gel was perfect for me!

One thing I really liked about this brand was that they do various products relating to your skin type and here are the catogories:
- Dry skin
- Sensitive skin
- Combination skin
- Oily or blemished skin
By having these categories it makes sure that everyone is able to use these products so no one is left out!

I still have some samples left which I am excited to try and I may also let my mother try them out to because sharing is caring right? I always like to get more than one opinion when I do a review on anything so that my viewers can get two opinions so when you read two positive reviews from two different people you know the company are doing something right!

I would recommend anyone to try out these products, get your hands on some samples of buy the full products see for yourself what all the buzz is about.

DermOrganic Hair & skincare review

Hello, tonight I have a review which has taken me a while to do so thankyou to DermOrganic for being so patient. I recieved two boxes which has miniature bottles of their products including hair and skincare products. I have had chance to try them out and I am impressed with most products.

Hair care

Daily conditioning shampoo
Intense hair repair masque

With the hair products, for me they were not suitable for my hair type, I have naturally quite greasy hair and every Argan oil I have tried on my hair has made the final result look mega greasy. It might be the fact that I don't use the products correctly but Argan oil doesn't seem to agree with my hair. Unfortunately this product gave me the same results as always but I must say that they smell incredible and is probably the nicest smelling hair products I have tried. My sister tried these out and she loves them, obviously this product has worked well on my sisters hair better than it did with me so it just proves that it will work for others but not everyone. I have been told that when using anything with Argan oil in on your hair to only apply it to the ends of your hair to stop your roots being greasy so I shall bare that in mind next time.

Skincare

Facial moisturizer
Soapless facial cleanser
Hand and body moisturizer

These products are very good, my sister especially thinks there amazing and she uses them everyday without fail. Here are what I think of each product:

Facial moisturizer
- applies easily
- leave face feeling clean and fresh
- finished results leave you with soft, glowing skin

Soap less facial cleanser
- no dryness
- leaves skin feeling very refreshed
- finished results leave skin so soft

Hand and body moisture lotion
- applies easily
- leaves skin soft and fresh
- smells nice but not to strong

You can find these products on their website and here is the link for you to check them out: www.dermorganic.com

Tropic | Body Love Buttercream

Hey girls!
I have been very busy lately and haven't had much time to relax and pamper myself so this review will be my sisters thoughts! I hope to try this product very shortly so I can add my own opinion! Before I start I want to apologise for the poor background, I am in the middle of moving rooms and I have no pretty corner to take pictures for you lovely people.

The product I will be talking about is TROPIC BODY LOVE BUTTERCREAM. Although I haven't tried this product I can say that the tub is very pretty and has all the information on needed to be able to understand how to use the product and what ingredients are included, and this product also has the vegan logo and the leaping bunny for anyone interested in products which are cruelty free.

I really admire how they have chosen green font colour which in my opinion resembles that this product is made with NATURAL plant extract by using a natural colour such as green which you would see a lot of in plants.

SISTERS REVIEW:
I am really impressed with this product, not only does it have an amazing smell to it, it also leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturised. As for the scent, I would say it's a very sweet, citrus smell. On the tub it explains that this product is infused with notes of Lemon Myrtle and Bergamot essential oils, I was right when I said this product has some sort of citrus scent to it.

Directions: Indulge daily after showering or bathing to leave your skin feeling & smelling simply irresistible.

Sorry this was a short review but considering I haven't tried this for myself I cannot say as much as I would like to, all I can say is that this product smells incredible and I would recommend it to anyone with a love for citrus scents.
