My First Tattoo

Hi everyone..
I am so excited to share my first tattoo with you all, I have been putting off getting a tattoo for about a year now, but as it was my birthday yesterday I decided to man up and go for it.. & I am so proud of myself for overcoming my 'tattoo fear' and it really wasn't as bad as I expected.

I promised myself that whenever I got my first tattoo I would give it a good, hard think instead of just winging it and getting something silly like a unicorn!
After some help off my tattoo artist and mother, I decided to get my birth flower to celebrate my 20th birthday, I wanted my tattoo to look like it had been sketched onto my skin, so to give it that effect I just wanted the outline of the flower in black, in the background I wanted bright paint drips/splatters to add to the whole 'arty' look, I love art and im a very arty person myself so I got this tattoo to also resemble my passion for art and I couldn't be more happy with the final result..

I chose to go for a safe area on my body which I thought would be bearable for my first tattoo experience.

I got myself so worked up during the 4 week wait, I had people tell me it was a walk in the park and others tell me it was the worst experience ever. Strangely when I woke up the morning of my appointment I was extremely excited and the fear of pain was at the back of my mind, I think I was just so excited to see the end result that the pain didn't matter anymore, plus I knew it would be worth it.

I couldn't be more proud of myself for sitting through my tattoo without getting all worked up and shaky, its insane to think how little it actually hurt, plus my tattoo artist was so friendly and made me feel very relaxed. Obviously depending on which body area you get tattooed, the pain rate will vary, I would give my tattoo a pain rate of 3/10, which I am so happy about as I wanted to add to my tattoo to create a colourful sleeve so now I can go back for more with a positive mind.

I went to a lady in Carnforth who's shop was called 'The Jewelled Bird', which is a fairly new shop, she have a Facebook and Instagram page if you were interested in checking out her work. My tattoo cost me £100 for an hour and a half sitting, which I think is very reasonable, and my mum, dad and brother paid for it all which is a bonus ;-)
I give her shop and work a 10/10.

Please note: If you are considering getting your first tattoo DO YOUR RESEARCH, my friends were recommending loads of artists to me that I wouldn't ever trust as their work just wasn't good enough to have on my skin forever, I feel I made the right decision and I had a great outcome thanks to spending hours online looking for someone who had great work portfolios.

Thank you for reading, I love seeing other peoples tattoos, so let me know what tattoos you have..
Have a great day, speak soon.

Boohoo X CHarli XCX | 90's Inspired Fashion

Hello!

I have been so excited to share this post with you all, I was contacted by Boohoo.com and informed about the amazing collaboration that Boohoo are doing with the beautiful, talented Charli XCX, which the theme will most likely (knowing Charli) be 90's inspired, I was greatly thankful for them contacting me, I got to choose an outfit from Boohoo.com inspired by 90's fashion, to share with you all!
I am a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge fan of Charli's fashion sense and this opportunity sounded right up my street, so here it is, enjoy!

I took inspiration from the well known 90's film.. CLUELESS, to me that film is all about the outfits, from tartan, to fur, to leather.. the list goes on.
It was proving to be a difficult choose as to which character to work from, however, I suppose you cant do a Clueless inspired outfit without using Cher as your inspiration!

The 90's was a very popular time for the mini skirts and colourful blazers and the outfits that stand out to me the most throughout the film are the co-ord sets that the girls wear, especially Cher's famous yellow plaid two piece.

I found an outfit that I instantly fell in love with, and this is what I chose..

I stuck with the school girl style, with the knee high socks and black shoes, as well as pairing the shoes with the mini black suede backpack.. So Cher!!!

I love the colour of this outfit, the baby pink really gives the look as a whole, a mega feminine touch.
I see Charli XCX in mini skirts all the time and she really does have that hourglass figure to suit every outfit she wears and I am a big fan of the mini skirt trend that has come back around from the 90's.

I obviously had to get the matching cropped blazer which just completes the whole look and makes the outfit look classy. I added a simple ribbed crop top as I didn't want anything to fancy as it will take all the attention away from the co-ord.

So I used Cher as my fashion icon for this post, but since this post is in celebration of Charli XCX's Boohoo collaboration, I thought I would do the hair and makeup inspired by the 90's queen herself..

When I think of Charli and her makeup, I instantly think of bold red lips, that has been her signature look for a long time and she completely rocks it! As we are focusing on 90's trends I went for a more darker lip as whilst doing my research I found a lot of 90's celebs rocked a dark, dramatic red lip.

I kept the eye makeup simple as Charli focuses all the attention mainly to her lips, therefore if I was to do a bright eye look, it would clash with the bold lips, plus in this case, I think less is more.

Now Charli wouldn't be Charli without her big, beautiful, bushy eyebrows! I went for dramatic, black brows (well dramatic enough for me) and added some coral blush to the cheeks as I think coral cheeks really compliment pale skin tones.

The hair HAD to be big and curly, Charli is seen a lot with curls in her hair and also a lot of celebs were seen with curly hair back in the 90's, and its safe to say that this trend definitely hasn't gone out of fashion yet!

I really enjoyed dressing myself up and it made me realise how much I wish we still dressed like they did in the 90's, so thanks to Charli people can be inspired by her 90's trend and take inspiration just like I have today to bring back 90's fashion.

I hope you enjoyed reading my latest post.. Let me know who your 90's icon is!

Oh and don't forget that Charli's Boohoo collection is now live on the Boohoo.com website and she has done an amazing job, to check her collection out click HERE you wont be disappointed!

If you are interested in any of the pieces I wore in this post then you will find them all at Boohoo.com for really affordable prices.

Have a great week everyone..
Speak soon!

Motel 'New In' Wishlist

I have recently discovered the 'New In' section on www.motelrocks.com and oh my sweet Jesus, I am obsessed! I have always been a big fan of Motel Rocks, as they have such a wide variety of clothing, shoes, accessories, anything to feed your fashion minds; however, there range of clothing has blown my mind recently, with more patterns, colours and prints than ever! So before I ramble on even more, lets just get straight into the exciting part.. my top picks from the 'New In' section, which you all must check out - here

(Starting from the left)
Click on the clothing description to be taken to that exact item on the Motel Rocks website.

Motel Girly Skater Dress in Floral Blue White - £45 - This dress is so perfect for summer 2015, whether your having a chilled one at home, or going on a luxury holiday, you cant go wrong with a pretty floral dress. The colour palette within the floral print is stunning and something a bit different to your normal floral colours (pink, cream, red), this dress would catch a lot of attention!

I love this next set, however you do have to buy the two pieces separately, the two pieces are - Motel Bessie Bandeau Crop Top in X Ray Floral - £18 and the Motel Cecile High Waisted Culotte in X Ray Floral - £35 I am not normally the biggest fan of sunflower prints, but I love the edgy take on this two piece.. BLUE SUNFLOWERS! The top is great to show off your gorgeous figure, but then the skirt adds a hint of class to the outfit, I believe in the saying 'its either legs or boobs, not both', and I learnt that through my 'back in the days, fashion mistakes'; this outfit defiantly goes by that saying, by hiding the top part of the legs and working on the chest area instead. This piece is so effortless and can be thrown together in minutes, with a messy bun and minimal makeup, you will still look a million dollars!

Motel Arli High Waisted Flared Trousers in Root Down Rise Up - £35 - These pants are my favourite all time Motel piece, ever! I am IN LOVE with these pants and I will tell you why right now.. I hate shopping for pants, I think they hide my slim legs (sorry to sound vain) and never hug my figure in the way I want them to, therefore, I avoid shopping for pants, and due to that, own about 4 pairs of jeans and two pairs of leggings, which isn't a lot if you compare that to how many tops I have! But these pants look extremely figure hugging, and I am obsessed with how they are high waisted (always a bonus), slim around the belly, down the legs and then flare out at the bottom and I don't know why the flare trend hasn't already been re-discovered before now! If I won the lottery I would buy a pair of these for everyday of the week and wear them for the rest of my life! Enough said.

Motel Sun Slip Dress in Paradise Candy Pink - £35 - First of all, can we please have a moment of appreciation for the pinkness of this dress! This dress is beautiful, I love the simple slip design, but then this dramatic floral print and bold colour palette. There's so many ways you could wear this dress, you can dress it down for a casual day or dress it up for something like a wedding or summer garden party, the possibility's are endless. This dress only costs £35, but looks like its just come fresh off a runway! L-O-V-E!

Motel Anja Wrap Bell Sleeve Top in Ester Rust - £28 - Lastly, I found this amazing top. Again I am seeing the flared trend re-appear, but in a top version. I love a flared sleeve, especially for me, who has always been picked on for having very skinny arms, I feel a flared sleeve is the one style that helps enhance skinny arms and works well also. As for the colour and pattern, I love it! I love the wrap around effect, as it shows off your figure, as well as showing a hint of cleavage around the chest area (a bit of cleavage never hurt no one ;-)).

I am so impressed with the latest pieces from Motel and cannot wait for summer to come around so I can treat myself to a few goodies from there site!

Thank you for reading, I hope you loved my fave pieces as much as me, let me know what your faveorite Motel pieces are in the comments below..

Patricia Eve Bikini Review & Giveaway!

I have had my blog for about two years now, and I can truly say its been an amazing journey, talking to some amazing bloggers, followers and companies. And today is another milestone in my blogging journey, as today marks the day of my first ever blog giveaway!
I will be doing more giveaways this year, so follow me to keep updated with those!

The product I will be giving away is a beautiful bikini, from a company called Patricia Eve, you can check out the Patricia Eve website by clicking here
Anyone looking to buy from Patricia Eve can visit the website and look up what stockists are local or nearest to you.

The brand of this bikini is called David Swimwear and they do luxurious swimwear suitable for anyone who loves a good splash in the pool, a peaceful holiday away or just a lay on the beach to top up your tan!

I fell in love with this two piece as soon as I opened the package up, the blue and white colours are very striking, with hints of gold dots in some areas. The bow in the middle of the bikini top adds some detail but not to much to overpower the main pattern, very pretty!
The size of this bikini is a size 12, there is no official cup size, however I would say it would fit anyone from a cup size C - D, and the pants, a size 10 - 12.
This marvellous bikini has extra padding in the bikini top (which is removable), which helps if the top is a little bit on the big side, it will fill the cup out more and also give you an enhanced cleavage (Yay).

The material of this bikini feels great and I can defiantly tell that this bikini was made with comfort in mind.
The gold fastening for the bikini top compliments the gold dots that appear on the two piece and is a lot more appealing than a plain, plastic hook fasten. The straps are adjustable, which is always a must for me when shopping for anything from bikini's to bras.

I was debating whether to keep this bikini for myself, as it is sooo beautiful and just my sort of style, however, I do not go abroad and cannot swim very well, therefore, I thought it would make more sense to give it over to someone who would get more use of it, as its to pretty to sit in my wardrobe gathering dust! I know its also a bit early to be giving away something that is more likely to be worn during summertime but I couldn't wait any longer, plus if anyone has a holiday coming up, this bikini would be perfect for your suitcase!

So, onto the exciting part, the giveaway!

Emozioni Hot Diamonds | Necklace Review

Good afternoon, today I have a short review for you all featuring a jewellery range by the name of Emozioni. I was very lucky to win one of there much loved necklace pieces via Twitter, it was part of a halloween competition and I was that impressed with my necklace I needed to review it to show you all how great quality these necklaces are.

These Emozioni necklaces consist of 3 seperate pieces: the coin, the coin keeper and the chain.
The coin keeper is what keeps the coin in place, as well as adding some modern detail to the whole look. The coin you could argue acts a bit like the charms you collect on a pandora bracelet, except they are kept inside the coin keeper rather than hanging down. The coins come in all different styles, patterns and colours and can be collectable, making these necklaces great as presents! The chain is pretty straight forward, it's what you will hang your coin keeper from, and yet again they come in all different lengths, colours and designs. As I won a competition, I didn't get to choose out of everything on there website, there were two coins up for grabs which I could choose from and luckily enough I loved them both, making it hard for me to choose, after deciding I went for the faux snake skin coin as I thought it was very different and unique to the others I had seen on various bloggers and customers. I was then asked if I wanted a black/grey, silver or rose gold coin keeper, after changing my mind twice, I went for the rose gold one and therefore they asked me if I wanted the rose gold chain to match and I said yes. There online customer service was a 10/10 and they were very friendly and helpful when helping me choose my items. I got my prize in the post two days after, everything was packaged very carefully. I put my necklace together and my god, I fell in love with my necklace right away, I couldn't be more impressed with it! I can defiantly say I will be collecting some more coins over time to add to my collection, which brings me to the point of the box I recieved to; I recieved a box which I can sit my coins in as I collect them so they are all in one place, what a neat idea.

Over all I couldn't be more happier with my prize, and would like to thank the wonderful staff over on the Emozioni Twitter page for being such lovely people. If you would like to take a look at all the items they have to offer then please click HERE to be taken to the page.

Thank you for reading, have a great afternoon.

Mallzee (The new generation of personal stylists) | Review

As my first post of October, I come to you with an AMALLZEEBALLS review on an app. It's my first time doing an app related post but I am always up for a challenge.

The fashion app I have been testing out recently is called 'Mallzee' as you may have guessed by from my hurendous 'Amallzeeballs' quote above!

If you love to shop online, are a shopping addict like myself or just like to browse the Internet looking for clothes you can't afford (also like myself), then this is a must have app for you, yes you!

Mallzee is your very own personal stylist, as quoted from the makers of Mallzee, they say that this app is like 'a personal stylist for your pocket', and who doesn't want there own personal stylist for when your on the go, or just relaxing at home.

As technology is getting even more advanced, as well as becoming a massive part of our lives, it makes sense to have an online fashion app to make our shopping experience easier, faster and more tailored to our hectic lifestyles!

Mallzee gives you all the brands you could ever wish for under one roof/app, you just simply search for the brand you want and get shopping (as well as other features)!

As you can see from the screenshot below, I have already added a bunch of awesome items to my saved list to go back to whenever convenient for myself, this is just one of the useful features on this app.

I find the saved section of this app very useful, as I can see everything in one place, what price each item is, the name of the item and the brand.

This app also features various sections such as: settings, brand search and style feeds; which you can learn more about by downloading the app yourself and having a play around - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MALLZEE.

The layout of this app is simple, yet effective and has a very modern theme to it.

As Christmas is around the corner and your children, cousins, brothers and sisters all get demanding with there massive Christmas lists, so this app may just come in handy for you!
With brands to suit all the family, you will be sure to give the best Christmas presents this year, and don't worry if your on a tight budget, as when you save items to the saved box, you will be alerted when this item is on offer/sale which is great for a cheapskate like myself!

So, I have given this app a go and I will give it a 8/10, why don't you have a look around this app and let me know what you think of it!

Thank you for reading & thank you to Mallzee for informing me about the new craze of Mallzee!

Pamela Mann Pearl Heart Stud Suspender tights

Are you looking for somewhere to get beautiful hosiery? Then I think I have found the perfect place. I came across a website called www.pamelamann.co.uk (click the website link to be taken to the website).

Pamela Mann is a hosiery heaven; simply an online shop with lots and lots of leg wear. They've got funky socks, coloured opaque tights, fashion leggings, sexy stockings and holdups, to name a few. Actually, they've got every colour, pattern and style imaginable. If you still don't believe me, take a peek at their website in the link above - there really is something for everyone! All the patterned tights are hand embellished and printed in the UK in the Hinckley factory.

So I wanted to get in with all the hype and try a pair out myself, which is why I am here to review a very glamorous pair of Pearl Heart Stud Suspender tights! What I thought would be a great idea was to do a look book, then you can see how I styled up these tights and hopefully I can persuade you to take a look at their website.

Firstly I will leave a link to the pair of tights I am wearing throughout my look book so you can purchase them for yourselves. Click HERE.
These particular tights value at £7.99 which is a bargain if you ask me, they come in one size (8-14).

Look 1:

These suspender tights go brilliant with any type of shorts or skirt, here I am wearing a skort which goes great with the tights as they're black with hints of red. I love skorts for summer, however I haven't seen many people in them therefore I am embarrassing them! The only problem with this outfit is that you can't see the heart studs, in fact you can only see one. This is my 'night out'  look, I added a pair of heels to dress this look up, however you could make it look more casual by pairing this outfit with some flats. This outfit actually looks a bit gothic with the dark colours and tattoo choker. If I styled this outfit with a pair of boots then this outfit would be perfect for a festival!

Top: New Look
Skort: Shout
Tights: Pamela Mann
Heels: Topshop
Tattoo Choker: Matalan

 Look 2:
(For some reason the pattern on the skirt turned out blurry, Sorry for that)

Look 2 is a casual/everyday look which reminds me of an outfit I would see in the classic film 'Clueless', I love the turtle neck with the mini skirt, it adds class to the whole outfit. I prefer this look better than look 1 as you can see more detail on the tights. The metallic loafers are a great colour as they go perfect with the turtle neck. This outfit could be worn during winter or even summer if you styled the skirt and tights up with a short sleeved or sleeveless top.

Top: Gap
Tights: Pamela Mann
Skirt: H&M
Loafers: Dune London

Look 3:

And last by not least is look 3: The summer look! The good thing about this outfit is that you can see all the heart studs on the tights which adds a very pretty effect. Two pieces are one of my favourite trends at the moment and this little number leaves no exceptions, the light colours make the outfit perfect for summer. I was expecting the tights to not match with this outfit due to the colours being opposite to each other but it works brilliantly. I styled this outfit with ankle boots as I wanted to show that you can dress these tights with almost any footwear, as its a summer look boots may have not been the best idea HOWEVER as the tights are thin the boots wont make your feet sweat as much as they would with thick socks. I wouldn't recommend the ankle boots for a mega hot summers day such as a day at the beach, in this case I would style them with dolly shoes or espadrilles.

Top and shorts: Mary Jane fashion
Tights: Pamela Mann
Ankle Boots: Matalan

The tights are very comfy, easy to apply and fit really well (not to tights or to baggy). I thought that the suspender looks would make these tights look a tad bit tacky but once I saw them they looked beautiful and don't look tacky at all, therefore my tip for you is don't judge before you try for yourself.

I hope you enjoyed looking through my look book and that I have persuaded you to take a look at these tights or any others that you fancy! If that doesn't persuade you.. its FREE UK DELIVERY! What's better than that!

Thank you for reading & I hope you all have a lovely week!

Blogging tip #1

Good afternoon!
As a sort of newbie to the blogging world I struggled at first to make my posts and photographs impressive so that people would take me seriously, which is why I came up with the idea of doing a series of posts which will be all about blogging tips and I know I'm not a pro at blogging but when I first started blogging I always found other bloggers tips and ideas helpful and I hope I can help other to so here is my first tip...

When I take photos for my blog, even now I find it hard to make the photos stand out and be good quality with an attractive background therefore I came up with an idea which I'm sure a lot of bloggers already use but I thought it was a neat idea which anyone can use without the cost of expensive lighting or fabric.

Wallpaper samples!!!
With wallpaper samples you can get them for free and you will have several patterns plus colours to choose from, you could stick to the same background or switch them around each time. I wasn't sure about this idea when trying it out for myself but once I saw the outcome of the photos with the wallpaper background they actually look really good. Another great thing about this photography tip is that both males and females can have a go at this as I'm sure there will be wallpapers available to suit both sexes.

Here are a few sample photographs of some wallpaper samples I chose and will hopefully give you an idea of what it looks like with wallpaper as the background.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helped you in some way, look forward to seeing more of my upcoming posts with the wallpaper backgrounds which I hope will be more eye-catching than taking a photo of a product sat on a rusty carpet!!!

Maryjanefashion.com | Two piece

Hi everyone, sorry it's been a while, life has been hectic at the moment. Today I have a review which needed to be shared with you all as I am in love with a two piece I won from Mary Jane Fashion over on Facebook.

This is the two piece I recieved and it could not have fit any better, this two piece comes in size S/M or M/L and I chose the smallest size because my sister said 'if it doesn't fit you I can have it'. Anyway it fits brilliantly and it's so flattering, the skort even fits my 12 year old sister who is pretty skinny! The floral print is beautiful and so classy compared to other prints I have seen around. I was abit sceptical at first as crop tops like the one above need to fit pretty well for it to look good and me being a size 8-10 (UK) fit into the top fine, however if you have a cup size that is bigger than D I would get the top in a M/L because it is a tiny bit tight on me due to my chest size but I can work with it, it's not to tight that it doesn't fit but I would recommend thinking about that when looking at this particular brand.

After trying this on I will deffinatly keep this brand in mind if I ever need more summer clothes, I give this brand a 10/10 for fast delivery and quality.

Check there website out by using this link: maryjanefashion.com

Thanks for reading!
Have a great weekend.
