Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette | Review

I'm back!

Sorry its been such a long time since I like posted on my blog, well for me it feels like forever!

However, I am here today to give you another review on a product I am in LOVE with!

This month I went out to Blackpool for the day with my boyfriend and his family to do some much needed retail therapy after a stressful few weeks!

Whilst there I accidentally slipped and fell into the Debenhams makeup department ;-)

Whilst I was there I came across the Two Faced Palette stand and had to pick something up whilst I was there..

So what did I buy?!....

That's right! I bought the much raved about Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon Palette, and can I just say that this palette smells so damn good, like actual chocolate! What more could a makeup & chocolate lover want ;-)

So I know your probably dying to have a sneak peak inside, so here you go..

So this is what inside the palette looks like and I must say that I'm so impressed with how the palette looks, the heart shaped pans are adorable and so eye catching!

This palette cost me £39 from Debenhams which is expected as it is a high end palette, I am a true believer that you get your moneys worth from more high end/expensive brands. Most of my experiences with high end makeup products have been a success therefore I was willing to try this palette out.

I created an eye look using only the colours in this palette and this is the final look..

I created a really simple yet elegant smokey eye, using mainly the brown shades in the palette, I added a hint of the pink shade called 'Totally Fetch' to the inner corners of my eyes, by the way how cute are all the names for these eyeshadows!?

To then add colour I used a NYX neon eyeliner to add a pop of colour to the whole look and to brighten up the eyes.

These eyeshadows blend like a dream, they don't give a lot of fall out like some eyeshadows do.

You get a good range of matte shades and shimmer shades, with 14 eyeshadows in total, therefore you are very likely to get a ton of use out of this palette.

This Too Faced palatte is fantastic, the eyeshadows really helped bring this whole look together and as the shades I used were pretty neutral, it meant I could create a dramatic, bold lip!

Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette | Review

Good morning!

I am very excited to be doing this review today after a month of trying out the new and incredible Jeffree Star Beauty Killer eyeshadow palette.

When Jeffree Star first revealed that he was in the process of creating his first ever eyeshadow palette I knew it would be amazing and very unique to the eyeshadow palettes I already own.

This palette is 'Very Jeffre Star', with bright colours and high pigmentation, this palette is a must have for all makeup lovers.

I promised myself that as soon as this palette came out I would treat myself to one, I am not one to spend a fortune on makeup, however this I feel is a great investment piece. The colours are like no other colours I own, therefore I wanted to splash out on this palette so I had a wide range of colours to experiment with.

This palette cost me $45, I had to order from the US which cost me $10 shipping, I also had a £14 custom fee to pay, so overall this did cost me a bomb but I will most definitely get my moneys worth out of it.

The pan sizes are truly impressive, if you compare the size of these pans to a mac pan they are a lot bigger, therefore there is a ton of product in each pan. I have been using my palette religiously now for just over a month and there is still so much product left.

As for the consistency of these eyeshadows they are very buttery and smooth making them easy to blend. The only bad thing I have to say about these eyeshadows are that they can be a bit powdery which leads to fall out, however a lot of eyeshadows have this problem, its something that can be dealt with. I like the fact this palette also has a decent sized mirror, which makes it a great palette for when I'm on my travels.

The names of these shadows are great, very different and all fun names that make this palette very 'sassy' - just like Jeffree himself!

My favourite shade has to be 'Star Power' which is the first colour, the neon pink shade, the pigment in this shade is unreal, its not normally a colour I would reach for until discovered this palette.

This palette includes:

3 Matte shades

7 Shimmer shades

There are endless looks you can create with this palette, I have been trying to go out of my comfort zone and try more vibrant, dramatic looks and this palette has helped me achieve that.

I created a look to share with you, I kept this look pretty simple to show you that you can create everyday looks as I know dramatic looks aren't for everyone.

I used the shade 'China White' for the base colour, then went in with 'Courtney' for the transition shade to blend out any harsh lines I may create. In the outer corner I used 'Star Power' and as you can see I blended the colour out a lot to create a more neutral pink shade. Lastly I went over the lid with a mixture of 'Confession' and 'Princess' which created a champagne shimmer colour, perfect for everyday or even for a special occasion.

The great thing about this palette also is that I have been using the shade 'Princess' as a highlighter and it works fantastic, this shade is gorgeous on the cheeks therefore your getting two benefits out of this shade.

My overall opinion on this palette is that it is a fab investment piece that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a high quality eyeshadow palette with a vide variety of shades.

100% worth the crazy amount of money I paid, I would rather spend more money and get a top quality palette than spend less and waste my money on a palette that is of a poor quality.

Product Testing | Make Up Revolution, What You Waiting For? Palette

Hello, today I have another review for my lovely readers and followers, whoever you may be!

I am going to be reviewing a palette from the newly discovered makeup brand.. Makeup Revolution.

I got sent this palette from the product testing team and you can find out more about this company by clicking here: beauty product testing they work with beauty bloggers and will send you products of your interest to review, if you meet the product testing requirements and when they have a product suitable for you. This is my first time working with this company so I'm not sure on the ins and outs of how everything works, however if you want to find out more, I'm sure they would love to hear from you!

 

I was so excited when I opened up my package from Mr Postman, as I have been keeping my eye on the Makeup Revolution brand for a loooooooooong time, but I'm not the biggest fan of ordering makeup online, just because the product may break in the post and I like to see the products with my own eyes, so I can see the true shades and colours of each product. Unfortunately I do not have any beauty/drugstore stores locally which supply Makeup Revolution products, I'm not even sure if they sell there products in stores or just online, let me know..

 

 

I was a little bit curious as to how this palette would turn out, as Makeup Revolution is known for selling there products at very low, affordable prices, which sometimes can mean, the lower the price, the poorer the quality.. This was not the case.

 

 

I cannot express enough, how impressed I am with this £6 palette.

The colours are beautiful, it comes with 12 shimmer shades and 6 matte. I normally go for matte eye colours more than shimmer as I haven't quite got the hang of shimmer eye looks yet, due to not being the best blender in the world, these shades however are so easy to use, whether your a MUA or a beginner in makeup. I am still teaching myself makeup tips and tricks, so this palette is great for me, the colours are simple but once blended together create a dramatic eye look.

 

This palette is soooo pigmented for the amazing low price, especially the matte colours. My favourite shade is 'Super Hot Female', this shade is so good for a transition colour and looks great on any skin tone. I'm still practising with the black shade as its so pigmented that I sometimes end up with more on than I wanted and then look like I've been punched in the eye!

 

Who would I recommend this palette to? I would recommend it to anyone who likes to get a bargain when buying makeup, anyone who's a beginner in makeup, or like me, is still practising as this palette is so cheap and will last you a long time. Makeup Revolution have so many different palettes to choose from, ranging from different colours, themes and prices.

 

Here I created two eye looks, the first one is very simple and more on the natural side, using mainly matte shades from the 'What You Waiting For' palette. This look is so simple, that you can hardly even see the colours used, you would have to try this palette out yourself to see how great these matte colours are.

 

 

The second look is a more of a dramatic, girls night out sort of look, but without the colours being to dark.

 

 

With both looks I used the matte shade 'Your Capable' as a base colour, and it works a treat, making the eyelids and brow bone very clean looking.

 

Overall, I am beyond impressed with this palette, and now want to go and buy every other palette Makeup Revolution have to offer, and I can finally say I own a Makeup Revolution product YAY!

W7 Makeup | First Impressions

I have never tried any products from the makeup brand W7, but that all changed this week, and lets just thank god I discovered this brand, W7 sell affordable and high quality makeup, which ticks all my boxes, and today I'm here to review some of there products for you!

 

 

I received all the products above, and immediately I noticed the cruelty free logo on the side of the 'Get Set Eyeshadow base', which made me a very happy bunny, as I am a hugeeeeeee supporter of cruelty free brands. I sometimes buy/order a product without knowing if there products are tested on animals or not, but if that is the case, I will give the product to a family member or friend, therefore, I really try my best to stick to my cruelty free rule!

10 out of 10 Eye Shadow Palette: This palette is amazing for the price, at just £5.95, this palette includes 10 shades that are perfect for anyone. I would highly recommend this palette, but especially to people who are just starting out with makeup and are wanting to build up there collection, as it is affordable and includes a variety of shades.

 

 

 

The top eye colours I would use to create a very dramatic smoky eye, as for the bottom colours, I would use these to go for a more neutral eye look. my favourite colour from this palette is the middle bronze/gold colour on the bottom, to me, this colour works the best and is the most easiest to blend in and build up.

I am not a big fan of the blue and purple shades in this palette, I am not a big fan of blue or purple eye makeup altogether, but these colours just don't seem to blend in as well and take a lot of building up to get the colour pigmented, however the middle top colour (dark grey/black) is okay for working into the crease and is build able. I would rate this palette a 7/10 and will defiantly keep and eye out on the other 10 out of 10 palettes to maybe try out soon.

 

Butter Kiss Lipstick: This lipstick is in the colour red light. I love this lipstick, its got a nice creamy texture to it, however, I would say it could be used as more of a tinted lip gloss, but if you build up onto it, you will be able to create a more pigmented lip colour. The fact this lipstick is more of a lip gloss doesn't change my positive opinion on this product, I still really like this lipstick to create a natural makeup look, but with a bit of colour on the lips. I am very curious to try out the other shades, as I am so impressed with this one. 9/10.

 

 

Catwalk Concealer: This is the most disappointing product of them all, even though the concealer blends in very well and has a nice creamy texture, the shade is way to dark for my pale complexion. This is the lightest shade they do, the colour looks darker in person compared to the photo. This product is not use able for my skin tone, however, I will keep it to use for a day when I have fake tan on and want to apply makeup over the top, as I think this would be more suited to people with more of a tan than my pale self. If this concealer was more lighter, it would be perfect, the product blends in so well and leaves a lovely finish to your skin. 6/10.

 

Get Set Eye Shadow Base: I am loving this product so much, for a drugstore product, it works so well for me. The colour of this eye base is matte white, you can build up the product if you need to but is also great for a thin layer. This product blends in very well, however, my only fault is that it can make the eye shadow a bit more harder to blend in, I would leave the eye base to dry for a few minutes before applying an eye shadow over the top, apart from that, I really do love this product, I use it every time I do my eye makeup now and will defiantly be re-purchasing once I run out! If you are looking for a cheap but good quality eye base, give this a go and it wont let you down! 10/10.

 

I had so much fun trying these products out, I will certainly be trying more W7 products in the future and I hope I have convinced you to take a look to!

MUA Cosmetics Haul

Hi Ladies!

Today I have a small haul of makeup to show you, if you are a fan of good quality makeup at cheap prices then read on as this brand is one of the cheapest makeup brands I have come across. The brand is called MUA (Make Up Academy Cosmetics) and is has such a huge variety of products from lipstick to brushes to custom palettes.

Lip Products

These are the three shades I chose to try out and they had there benefits and disadvantages, they are great in the sense that they are very pigmented but the texture however is very much play-doe like, the texture is so dry that I have to more or less everytime use a lip brush to apply the product. However once on your lips the product looks fine and if you find that your lips look dry you can always apply a lipgloss over the top or mix another lipstick in with it which is what I do with the Wild Berry and Scarlet Siren.

As you can see the colours show up pretty impressive and for £1 each you could afford to buy them all and if you dont like them you wont have wasted to much money.

 

Eye Products

 

 

I got two eyeshadows to try out as they were also only £1 each. They are so good for the price they are at, there super pigmented and would suit any skin tone, the Matt eyeshadow is very dark and would create such a dramatic gothic look, as for the Pearl shade this one works ace as a base for your eyeshadow as it highlights the lids making them pop.

 

I do have other products from this brand but haven't had much chance to try them out so I haven't included them, although I will write a couple of sentences about each product and what I think of them so far:

 

Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter - I loved the look of this product but when it came to me I saw that it was far to shimmery for my liking, I have very pale skin so anything shimmery makes me look a bit like an orange clown! I wasn't impressed with that, however if you apply a small amount you can get away with not having to much shimmer to your look. This costs £3.

Pro-Base Prime And Conceal - This product is a concealer for your eyes which gets rid of any redness using the yellow tones that it has, this product is good, I don't really use eye primer a lot so I dont know what to expect but then again I also dont wear a lot of eyeshadow, Mainly only when Im going out. This cost £1.50

F6 Blusher & Contouring Brush - This brush I mainly use for bronzer, blusher and highlighter. I like this brush however its not the best, as I use it for my cheeks and it doesn't blend the product in as well as I would like it to. This cost £3

L1 Lip Brush - This brush is amazing! For the price of the brush its such good quality, its just the right size for my lips and is such a smooth brush. Its a nice shape and keeps its shape no matter how much you use it. It applys lipstick more accuratly and evenly. The cool thing about this brush is that the handle breaks off so that you can use the bottom of it as a lid so you dont get the brush dirty, and its handy to put in your purse! This was only £1.50 and ill happily say it was worth the little amount I paid and I would buy more of them in the future.
