W7 Makeup | First Impressions

I have never tried any products from the makeup brand W7, but that all changed this week, and lets just thank god I discovered this brand, W7 sell affordable and high quality makeup, which ticks all my boxes, and today I'm here to review some of there products for you!

I received all the products above, and immediately I noticed the cruelty free logo on the side of the 'Get Set Eyeshadow base', which made me a very happy bunny, as I am a hugeeeeeee supporter of cruelty free brands. I sometimes buy/order a product without knowing if there products are tested on animals or not, but if that is the case, I will give the product to a family member or friend, therefore, I really try my best to stick to my cruelty free rule!

Now onto the products, if you would like to visit the W7 website, where all products in this post can be found, please click HERE

10 out of 10 Eye Shadow Palette: This palette is amazing for the price, at just £5.95, this palette includes 10 shades that are perfect for anyone. I would highly recommend this palette, but especially to people who are just starting out with makeup and are wanting to build up there collection, as it is affordable and includes a variety of shades.

The top eye colours I would use to create a very dramatic smoky eye, as for the bottom colours, I would use these to go for a more neutral eye look. my favourite colour from this palette is the middle bronze/gold colour on the bottom, to me, this colour works the best and is the most easiest to blend in and build up.
I am not a big fan of the blue and purple shades in this palette, I am not a big fan of blue or purple eye makeup altogether, but these colours just don't seem to blend in as well and take a lot of building up to get the colour pigmented, however the middle top colour (dark grey/black) is okay for working into the crease and is build able. I would rate this palette a 7/10 and will defiantly keep and eye out on the other 10 out of 10 palettes to maybe try out soon.

Butter Kiss Lipstick: This lipstick is in the colour red light. I love this lipstick, its got a nice creamy texture to it, however, I would say it could be used as more of a tinted lip gloss, but if you build up onto it, you will be able to create a more pigmented lip colour. The fact this lipstick is more of a lip gloss doesn't change my positive opinion on this product, I still really like this lipstick to create a natural makeup look, but with a bit of colour on the lips. I am very curious to try out the other shades, as I am so impressed with this one. 9/10.

Catwalk Concealer: This is the most disappointing product of them all, even though the concealer blends in very well and has a nice creamy texture, the shade is way to dark for my pale complexion. This is the lightest shade they do, the colour looks darker in person compared to the photo. This product is not use able for my skin tone, however, I will keep it to use for a day when I have fake tan on and want to apply makeup over the top, as I think this would be more suited to people with more of a tan than my pale self. If this concealer was more lighter, it would be perfect, the product blends in so well and leaves a lovely finish to your skin. 6/10.

Get Set Eye Shadow Base: I am loving this product so much, for a drugstore product, it works so well for me. The colour of this eye base is matte white, you can build up the product if you need to but is also great for a thin layer. This product blends in very well, however, my only fault is that it can make the eye shadow a bit more harder to blend in, I would leave the eye base to dry for a few minutes before applying an eye shadow over the top, apart from that, I really do love this product, I use it every time I do my eye makeup now and will defiantly be re-purchasing once I run out! If you are looking for a cheap but good quality eye base, give this a go and it wont let you down! 10/10.

I had so much fun trying these products out, I will certainly be trying more W7 products in the future and I hope I have convinced you to take a look to!

Thank you for reading and thank you to the team at W7 for helping me discover such an awesome brand.

I HAVE DEPOP!!!!

Wow, its been a week or two since I've blogged and I feel so guilty, but here I am to make it up to you with a positive blog post.
I heard about the buzz of an app called 'Depop', where you sell items and people can make an instant payment using PayPal, sounded like a great idea, but the thought of it sounding familiar to eBay didn't really sell the app to me. eBay to me is a bit slow, sometimes you don't get any interest in your items and its just not my cup of internet-tea. Depop I must say is my new found love, its a god send to people with a wardrobe full of stuff they never use or wear. Its a fast app which allows people to buy from you in the click of a button, all the information is sent to you correctly and its 100% safe.
For the month of August depop have decided to do a 'no depop fee' month, so get selling your stuff before the offer ends. You will never be charged for listing your items, when you sell an item depop will take 10% commission from your final sale, which is not a lot, and they will also take a small depop fee from you, however if you do not sell the item you can delete it/keep it on and you will not be charged (unless you make a sale with the item).

I have been on depop 3 days and already sold two items making me a very happy girl and making someone else a very happy girl. All the buyers and sellers are very friendly, except from the odd person I have had be mean to me, but you will get that anywhere. Its so easy to add items onto your account and is fun to do! You can choose from different filters to jazz up your pictures or you can go natural and add no filter, opinions are endless. So if you have a room full of things you need quick rid of, then stick them on depop and watch the money fall into your PayPal account very quickly. I know I cant say much as I have only sold two items but there has been a lot of interest on my other items so I look forward to selling more.

So follow me and I will follow back: oliviacathx
Like to have a look at what depop has to offer, then click HERE ,get the app and start selling or buying.

I hope you join depop soon, thanks for reading.

Hair chalks a waste of money?

Have you ever wondered what it's like to try out the latest hair craze, hair chalks? That feeling of trying out all the latest bright colours but being able to wash it out at the end of the day, well look no further, BUT are they really worth the money you pay?

I had been looking around on youtube for a while for the best hair chalks but then I came across an awesome and cheap idea which I tried out for myself, this was to use normal chalks that you would draw with and I was very skeptical at first but I realised what a great idea it was in the end.

So here is the final look, remember I only used artist chalk which cost me about £2.99 for a pack of 16 which included various colours.. (Bought from the works).

I have tried the pink look out before but I much prefer the blue as it's more edgy and different to anything I've tried before, this colour was done using a medium blue chalk which I just ran up and down my hair. At first it looks abit all over the place but after you brush it through it will blend in looking just like you used hair chalk or a dye even, if it is to dry then wash your hair after but this may make the colour lighter or even wash out fully.

For an individual hair chalk it can cost around £8 from a decent brand but don't be fooled by the brands and pretty packaging, unless you are willing to pay more then go for it but for someone like me who doesn't like to waste money on products I may not like I go for the cheap option first and in this case I will be sticking to the cheap option.

I hope this made some of you think and want to have a go at this, please give it a to go it's so easy but I will say that if you put a lot of chalk in it may take a few days to wash out completely which is why I do it mainly in the holidays to give my hair time to wash out the colour.

Hanger World Review

Hello bloggers, today I come to you with a review from a company called Hangerworld who were kind enough to send me some amazing products to try out! They didn't fail to impress me. Before I start I will give you some contact details for if you would like to get in touch with the wonderful people of Hangerworld.
Telephone No: 01253 600633

First of all I will start off with a product which is pretty popular at Hanger World which is a Natural Moth Repellent Hanging Cedar Wood Block which is part of their Cedar Wood range.

The good thing about the hanging block I received is that you just hang it in your wardrobe like a coat hanger and it is small and thin so it doesn't take up much room. These wood blocks do smell a bit nasty but nothing to strong that will smell your wardrobe or clothes out.
They are available in packs of 2,4 and 6 and prices range depending what pack you choose so be sure to check out their website for prices!

The next product is amazing and I would recommend these to so many people, this Over The Door Storage Hanger is ideal for someone who is in need of some extra storage space. The sort of items I store in mine are slipper and flat shoes in the first 8 long pockets and in the middle I haven't filled them yet, as for the bottom one I stored my hats, gloves and scarves in there but you can pretty much put whatever you want in there baring in mind that the material isn't very strong I would only recommend light items. I live in a bungalow and share a room with my younger sister and finding storage space is near enough impossible for me as our room isn't very big, however these storage hangers are so handy and don't take up much room. These come in two colours: Pink and Blue and come with three hangers which easily sit on the top of your door (NO NEED FOR DRILLING HOLES).
This over door hanger cost £9.95 which is a bargain considering how long it will last and how much space you will save, plus the pink one looks stunning in a girls room at any age.

Next onto another product I am very impressed with, this is the Red Floral Design Padded Top Hanger which I saw and immediately wanted to proudly put in my wardrobe. I absolutely love this hanger its so feminine and looks incredible in my wardrobe as it would in anyone elses. As you can see from the second picture this red floral hanger stands out so much, especially due to the red hanger. This coat hanger really reminds me of a Cath Kidston print due to the small floral prints, I think the white goes so well with the vibrant red and if I could I would have tons of the same hanger. This hanger is just perfect for adding some colour to your wardrobe and is padded so it has an extra strong hold.
This product is available in quantities of 1,3 and 6 and again range at different prices.

Next I got two household products which come in handy very much! My family is a family of five with four cats, two dogs, a rabbit, a hamster and a budgie; therefore we get hairy pretty fast. My family have tried so many different lint rollers before and we are currently looking for one which will last long, be effective and be at a reasonable price. I spotted this Jumbo (20 Metre) Lint Roller and I thought that I could get one to try and obviously let the whole family try it out. My mum and dad were so impressed with the amount of lint paper that was on this one, never have we ever come across such a JUMBOOOOO sized lint roller, and your probably thinking 'whats the biggie? Its just a lint roller'. If you understood how many hairs we get on our clothes, furniture and bed each day you would be dying for one of these! Works brilliant and does its job, THUMBS UP!

Lastly PEGSSSSSSSSSSS. My mum has a slight addiction to pegs and to be honest she has to have a big supply of them due to the fact she washes for five people. My mum has come across some crap (pardon my language) pegs before that snaps in days of purchasing them but these Plastic Clothes Pegs seem to work miles better, the grip on them is insane and I love the range of bright colours which make your washing look a tad bit happier.

Overall I had a very positive experience from this company, so be sure to check there website out for good quality storage products at reasonable prices. I would also like to thank Hanger World for helping me make this post possible and sending me such wonderful products which will come in handy for so long.

MUA Cosmetics Haul

Hi Ladies!
Today I have a small haul of makeup to show you, if you are a fan of good quality makeup at cheap prices then read on as this brand is one of the cheapest makeup brands I have come across. The brand is called MUA (Make Up Academy Cosmetics) and is has such a huge variety of products from lipstick to brushes to custom palettes.
At the moment there website are doing a free shipping deal for people who spend over £30 in one order so get that deal whilst you can, plus they also ship internationally which is a bonus!
So before I get started if you cant be bothered to read on then here is the website link, I hope you all find this website useful.. http://www.muastore.co.uk/

Lip Products

Scarlet Siren

Totally Nude

Wild Berry

These are the three shades I chose to try out and they had there benefits and disadvantages, they are great in the sense that they are very pigmented but the texture however is very much play-doe like, the texture is so dry that I have to more or less everytime use a lip brush to apply the product. However once on your lips the product looks fine and if you find that your lips look dry you can always apply a lipgloss over the top or mix another lipstick in with it which is what I do with the Wild Berry and Scarlet Siren.

Here is a swatch of the three shades:

As you can see the colours show up pretty impressive and for £1 each you could afford to buy them all and if you dont like them you wont have wasted to much money.

Eye Products

I got two eyeshadows to try out as they were also only £1 each. They are so good for the price they are at, there super pigmented and would suit any skin tone, the Matt eyeshadow is very dark and would create such a dramatic gothic look, as for the Pearl shade this one works ace as a base for your eyeshadow as it highlights the lids making them pop.

I do have other products from this brand but haven't had much chance to try them out so I haven't included them, although I will write a couple of sentences about each product and what I think of them so far:

Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter - I loved the look of this product but when it came to me I saw that it was far to shimmery for my liking, I have very pale skin so anything shimmery makes me look a bit like an orange clown! I wasn't impressed with that, however if you apply a small amount you can get away with not having to much shimmer to your look. This costs £3.
Pro-Base Prime And Conceal - This product is a concealer for your eyes which gets rid of any redness using the yellow tones that it has, this product is good, I don't really use eye primer a lot so I dont know what to expect but then again I also dont wear a lot of eyeshadow, Mainly only when Im going out. This cost £1.50
F6 Blusher & Contouring Brush - This brush I mainly use for bronzer, blusher and highlighter. I like this brush however its not the best, as I use it for my cheeks and it doesn't blend the product in as well as I would like it to. This cost £3
L1 Lip Brush - This brush is amazing! For the price of the brush its such good quality, its just the right size for my lips and is such a smooth brush. Its a nice shape and keeps its shape no matter how much you use it. It applys lipstick more accuratly and evenly. The cool thing about this brush is that the handle breaks off so that you can use the bottom of it as a lid so you dont get the brush dirty, and its handy to put in your purse! This was only £1.50 and ill happily say it was worth the little amount I paid and I would buy more of them in the future.

River Island Sale Find!

Hey girls.
Today was a lovely day, me and my friends decided to go and try out the new American diner. It was the absolute BOMB! Anyyyyyyyway.. We went for a looks around some shops afterwards and I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything, but we all know that never happens, however I only spent £7 after my meal which was okay I guess. I went into River Island with the intention of just looking rather than buying but when I came across this purse IN THE SALE I couldn't leave without it. I don't tend to buy purses a lot as there always boring colours and patterns but when I saw this purse I knew it was there waiting for me! Soooo here's a picture, tell me what you think..

The picture isn't the best and the flash makes all the marks show up when I say marks I mean that this
sort of material is one that gets scratch marks on easily and especially with the hologram style it makes it easy to leave marks. The purse already had a few dints in it, hence why it was on sale but it wasn't marked a lot. I love the hologram effect and it's taken me ages to find anything with the hologram style on. This purse was £7 which I thought was extremely cheap for RI.

Here's what the inside looks like..

This picture is better, I love the idea of having my own style instead of following a trend as the world would be boring if we all dressed the same and had similar styles, this is what I thought about when I saw this purse, it's so unique and different therefore it's mine.

Does anyone else own any hologram bags/purses send me pictures! I'm intrieged.

Argan Oil | Negative Review

I received these three products for christmas and I was so excited to try them as Ive heard Agran Oil is incredible for hair! But I literally cannot think of anything worse to use on my hair now I have tried these products and I will never use these products again. Now these particular product are the cheap version as they value at £1 each, this could be the reason why there so rubbish but I realised that the better brands which have a Argan Oil collection are always so expensive for my liking especially if the product isn't going to work on my hair. The oil is worse than the shampoo and conditioner, i leaves my hair so greasy. Here are some pictures of how my hair looks after using these products.

My hair almost looks wet as its that greasy. Theres no point in using these products if I just have to wash my hair again straight after. I don't know whether its because the products are cheap but I have used very cheap hair products and they have been the better than the more high priced ones. I sometimes use the Morrisons value conditioner if my mum buys it as we have 5 heads to clean in our family so shampoo can get expensive, but it is the best conditioner I've ever used and you get alot of product for your money, this shows that it may not be the price making it rubbish, maybe im not using the products correctly.

This is the worst picture of the two, this is my natural hair colour and my hair is naturally greasy but never this bad.

I would be delighted to hear your opinions on which brands are the best and if anyone has tried this certain brand has it worked for you or not?
Comment below.

Amelia-May midi ring review

Amelia-May is a website in which they sell accessories, they sell a variety of midi/knuckle rings which are so pretty and afordable. The ring I have in this picture costs only £9.50. All there jewelry is hand made which makes every peice even more special. At the moment they are having a 30% off deal if you are interested you need to enter the code sale30 at the checkout which makes this ring even cheaper and you will also get free delivery if you spend £20.

This ring is called the Silver Mini Ankh Knuckle ring with stone, it is also available in gold which is also a lovely colour.
So what's my opinion on this ring?
This is my first time I've ever received a product from Amelia-May and I can defiantly say that I may be purchasing more rings from them in the future and I also want to try out their earrings. There are so many rings from their site that interest me and suit my style, below I will add some pictures of some of my other faveorite rings. The ring in the photo on the website looked a lot bigger than it does once you see it for real which I am pleased with as with knuckle rings I like them to be small and not chunky. I got the size small, the smallest size fits on my finger perfect so I would advise anyone with skinny fingers to go for small when purchasing this ring. Overall I am very impressed with this ring and would recommend this website to anyone who loves handmade jewelry.

Here are a few of my other faveorite items from Amelia-May:
